On Saturday, 18 July 2026, Ananya Sharma took the stage at New Horizon College of Engineering Auditorium for her Bharatanatyam Arangetram — her formal debut as a solo dancer, marking a decade of training under Guru Smt. Abhinayaa Natarajan. Over two and a half hours, she performed a traditional Margam of seven dances before more than 400 guests, family and well-wishers, who filled the auditorium with warmth and applause. The Teacher
Guru Smt. Abhinayaa Natarajan began her own Bharatanatyam journey under Guru Sri Sudevan in Kerala, later continuing her training under Guru Smt. Kamakshi and other eminent gurus.
Her passion for teaching led her to establish the Natarajarangam School of Dance in 2014. Today, more than 100 students train under her — with a teaching approach dedicated to perfecting the basics, innovative choreography, and a selfless commitment to passing on new items to her students, with equal attention to the practical and theoretical sides of the art.
She has trained students who went on to participate in two Guinness World Records — one established at the Chidambaram Nataraja Temple, Tamil Nadu (5 March 2019), and another at Rock Beach, Pondicherry (5 May 2023).
